Ingredients

  • 100 g all-purpose flour
  • 120 ml water
  • 40 g sugar
  • 40 g coconut oil, melted
  • 10 g cocoa powder
  • 5 g baking soda
  • 5 ml vinegar
  • 5 g vanilla extract
  • 2 g salt
  • Chopped pistachio 

 

For the sauce;

  • 60 ml almond milk
  • 20 g cacao powder
  • 10 g powdered sugar 

 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a small baking dish or two individual ramekins.

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt using an electric mixer until well combined.

  • In another bowl mix vinegar, vanilla and coconut oil. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients.

  • Pour the water over the entire mixture.

  • Stir the ingredients together with electric mixer until the butter is smooth and well combined. Make sure there are no lumps.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes.

  • In a bowl whisk the sauce ingredients. 

  • Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the baking dish for a few minutes. Poke the cake with fork and pour the sauce all over the cake. Let it rest in the fridge for 10 minutes.

  • Serve with chopped pistachio on top.
