Difficulty:

Easy

Serving:

2 servings

Preparation time/ Cooking time:

5 minutes / 3-4 hours

Ingredients:

200 g mixed leftover fruits

20 g honey

5 ml lemon juice

Preparation:

• Preheat your oven to 75°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

• Wash and dry your leftover fruits. Remove any stems, cores, or seeds.

• Blend the fruits until smooth using a blender or food processor.

• Pour the fruit puree into a saucepan and add the honey and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes syrupy.

• Spread the fruit mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet using a spatula or the back of a spoon.

• Bake for 3-4 hours in the preheated oven, or until the fruit puree is dry and pliable. Check on it every hour to prevent over-drying or burning.

• Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

• Cut the dried fruit puree into long strips or shapes of your choice using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

• Roll up the strips tightly and store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They should last for up to 1 week.

• Enjoy these sweet, natural, and fun-to-eat snacks!
