TOTAL TIME

30 MIN.

Ingredients

  • 125g butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar, powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp milk

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Two baking trays should be lined with baking paper.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until pale and creamy. Mix in the egg until it is well mixed. Over the butter mixture, sift the flour and baking powder. Stir in the milk until it is fully mixed.
  3. Roll 1 heaping tablespoon of the mixture into balls at a time. Place on baking trays that have been lined with parchment paper. Flatten biscuits slightly with the heel of your hand.
  4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until light golden. Allow 5 minutes for the biscuits to cool on the trays. Allow to cool absolutely on wire racks. Enjoy.
